Not everyone in Brazil dances Samba

Writer: NoamNoam

In spite of the stereotype that all Brazilians dance Samba even before they can walk, we learned that it is not as popular as one might expect.

We were very fortunate to stumble upon a talented "Bloco de Samba" (Samba group) in the "Mercado Publico" area of Central Florianopolis. The Bloco was made up only of women, and they were able to sweep the crowd with their magnetic rhythms and dancers. Just another Saturday afternoon in Floripa!
